LASH LIFTING FAQ
Q. What is a lash lift?
A. It’s a semi-permanent treatment that enhances your natural lashes, making them appear fuller and longer. Certified technicians use a unique technique combining a lifting lotion and silicone rods to lift your natural lashes. you'll get a curl that lasts for 6-8 weeks.
Q. What is the difference between eyelash extensions and a lash lift?
A. The processes are quite different. We will not be adding additional lashes or any adhesives to your eyelashes. You don't have to worry about getting refills or lashes falling out, You can also still use mascara for even more volume or length. If you're looking for some definition without the commitment to continually update your extensions, a lash lift is the perfect solution. LOW MAINTENANCE!
Q. What happens during the lash lift procedure?
A. One of our artist's will start off by placing treatment patches under your eyes. These hold down your bottom lashes so they don't get in the way while your lashes are being lifted. They also are a nice treatment for the under eye area. Next, the Artist will apply a very gentle, clear, and non toxic glue to the bottom of a silicone rod and place the rod on your eyelid next to your lashes. Using the same glue, the lashes are gently pulled up onto the rod and separated one by one with a safe eyelash tool. Once all the lashes are pulled back, the lift formula is placed on the lashes with a tiny brush from the root to 3/4 way up the lash. This sits for 5-8 minutes and is then wiped off with a cotton swab. Then, the setting solution is brushed on the lashes the same way as the lifting solution. It sits for 5-8 minutes, then is wiped off with a cotton swab. A wet cotton swab and/or cotton pad is then used to dissolve the glue and remove the lashes off of the rod. The rod is also removed from your lid with water. A technician will finish by combing through the lashes and using a mini fan to dry them off.
Q. How long will the lash lift last?
A. A lash lift typically lasts 6-8 weeks but can vary from person to person. There is no need for any maintenance appointments in between but you will need to have the process repeated every 6-8 weeks to lift the new hair growth. There are some situations that may cause the lift to drop/weaken prematurely. You can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 1 month (3 weeks) if you feel the need to, or you can wait until they are back to their natural state which is typically 6-8 weeks.
